About the Taxidermist

Bob V. Danenhower Sr. has devoted his lifetime to the outdoors, Hunting, Trapping, Fishing, & Taxidermy! He started learning Taxidermy at age 13 and was the youngest licensed Taxidermist in the state of Pennsylvania at age 18. Always having been fascinated with wildlife, Bob is a true student of nature, he raised and studied Migratory Waterfowl 1and indigenous game birds as a young man and worked for several years as an animal caretaker at a county game preserve. As an avid archer, Bob has harvested 2 Pope and Young Whitetails and several others that qualify for the Buck Masters Record Book. Bob’s passion for archery has led him to his interest in collecting and hunting with traditional bow hunting equipment. Among his other favored pursuits included are Big Game Hunting, Turkey Hunting, Waterfowl Hunting, Black Powder Hunting, and Trapping. Bob has a very strong commitment to Youth education and Conservation.

He is the cofounder of the Lehigh Valley Hunting and Fishing Extravaganza held annually in Kempton, PA. Bob has been a scout leader for 13 years, and has been an active member and supporter of the Lehigh Valley SCI, JZ MEMORIAL CH OF NWTF, NRA, POWA And many other Organizations. In 2007 Bob was awarded The PA Outdoors Writers’ Associations’ YOUTH MENTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD.

At Bob’s Wildlife Taxidermy we use only top of the line materials creating your mount. The forms selected for your mounts are purchased from companies that maintain a high standard of anatomical accuracy. We use a high quality professional tannery to preserve the skin of your trophy. And only the finest Quality glass eyes. Our mounts are custom fit hand Sewn, Glued & Upholster stapled together, this combined with Quality Materials and Craftsmanship will produce a mount that is mechanically sound and will last for generations to come.
